Amarenco’s ECHO program selected by IAPB

Amarenco’s ECHO program selected as a high-integrity biodiversity credits pilot by International Advisory Panel on Biodiversity Credits !

The ECHO program aims to promote environmental and social engagement through projects focused on ecological regeneration and community support, integrating biodiversity and sustainable development into corporate practices.

🙌 We are delighted to announce that ECHO has been chosen as a pilot by the IAPB and has been presented at the COP16 Colombia. This recognition underscores our commitment to true biodiversity restoration through a rigorous, high-integrity framework—distinguishing real impact from greenwashing.

Supported by the French and UK governments, represented by Sylvie Goulard and Dame Amelia Fawcett DBE, CVO, the IAPB’s standards align with our mission to restore ecosystems around our solar sites and support the shift to agroecology. Together, we are advancing a regenerative path that brings energy and biodiversity into harmony. 🌿

Amarenco wins almost 30 MW of solar projects in Ireland

Amarenco has secured nearly 30 MW of solar projects in Ireland through the RESS 4 auction!

We are excited to announce that we won 5 new solar projects under Ireland’s fourth Renewable Electricity Support Scheme (RESS 4), located in Midleton, Ennistymon, Cobh, Timoleague, and Carrigaline, totaling 29.84 MW.
This follows our previous success of securing 45 MW under RESS 2.

🌱 The Renewable Electricity Support Scheme (RESS), a Government of Ireland initiative, is crucial in achieving Ireland’s goal of 80% renewable electricity by 2030. The scheme not only supports renewable projects but is also a cornerstone of Ireland’s Climate Action Plan 2021 and the Programme for Government.

We are thrilled to be contributing to a greener future, helping to meet Ireland’s ambitious climate targets. RESS plays a pivotal role in laying the foundation for a thriving, cost-effective renewable electricity market that drives economic growth, creates sustainable jobs, and ultimately benefits consumers as renewable energy becomes more affordable.

A special thanks to the entire Amarenco Ireland team for their incredible support and dedication in bringing this achievement to life!
