Let’s talk about storage With ENEDIS

A day of strategic discussions with ENEDIS at our Saucats storage facility!

We were pleased to welcome the managers and members of the Executive Committee of Enedis Aquitaine Nord to Saucats, home to Claudia, one of Europe’s largest storage units, developed by Amarenco. It was a busy, productive day—and, above all, one that was closely aligned with current challenges.

Their feedback speaks for itself:

  • “Unanimously very positive” discussions
  • A better understanding of the role of storage in the power system
  • Transparent discussions on market realities, both in France and across Europe

Storage is a strategic lever for grid operators: it contributes to grid regulation, congestion relief, and, ultimately, the optimization of their day-to-day operations.

For ENEDIS, the challenge was to better understand the potential of services provided to the power system in relation to connection requests.

For AMARENCO, the challenge was to share our expertise, concretely demonstrating our mastery of these technologies.

A mission 100% accomplished!

Thank you to the Enedis teams for their commitment and the quality of our discussions, And thank you to our teams for their unwavering dedication

Amarenco secures a €130 million preferred equity tranche

Amarenco secures a €130 million preferred equity tranche from Arjun Infrastructure Partners to accelerate its European growth.

This strategic investment, completed with our long-standing shareholder Arjun Infrastructure Partners, an important milestone in the next phase of our development: it reinforces our integrated IPP platform and supports our clear trajectory toward structural financial autonomy.

Within the next 24 months, we are targeting a key threshold, exceeding 1 TWh of annual production, backed by more than 1 GW of installed capacity, a decisive step toward a fully integrated IPP model generating recurring EBITDA from energy production and asset rotation. 📈

In 2025, we delivered more than 600 GWh of clean electricity and reached 650 MW of installed solar capacity, a clear demonstration of our execution capabilities and long-term vision. Our growing portfolio also includes 94 MW / 188 MWh of storage capacity, contributing to grid resilience while generating additional value through energy trading.

As we grow, we remain committed to our regenerative approach, embedding soil restoration and biodiversity enhancement at the heart of our projects.

Thank you to our teams, partners and investors for their continued trust! ☀️

Repowering Claudia

We are repowering Claudia, our battery energy storage facility located in Saucats (France).

Originally designed as a 1 hour BESS, Claudia is now being upgraded to 2 hours of storage, doubling its energy capacity and significantly increasing its value for the power system!

Why does it matter? Because as renewables grow, flexibility becomes just as critical as production. Longer-duration storage means better frequency control, improved balancing, and readiness for advanced grid services like grid-forming.

In practical terms, the site evolves from 105 MW / 100 MWh to 94 MW / 188 MWh, extending the asset’s lifetime while reusing existing infrastructure: a strong example of how repowering can combine performance and sustainability.

This project is also built on solid foundations: a hybrid battery architecture (NMC & LFP) to maximize safety and resilience, and a long-term public-private partnership with Caisse des Dépôts joining the project alongside Amarenco. The debt is carried by Société Générale and Rabobank.

Claudia also benefits from a long-term operating framework that provides Amarenco with strong visibility on future revenues, through a tolling agreement provided by ENGIE. This structure strengthens the asset’s financial robustness and confirms the economic relevance of large-scale storage infrastructure.

First battery deliveries are expected in spring 2026, with commercial operation planned for early 2027.

Claudia represents more than ever a key step in building Amarenco’s European storage platform to support the next phase of the energy transition.

A new strategic financing with Eiffel Investment Group

Amarenco announces a new strategic financing with Eiffel Investment Group

We’re pleased to announce the successful closing of a €300 million junior financing platform arranged by Eiffel Investment Group, who provided an initial €150 million commitment, marking the eighth transaction between the two parties since the commencement of our partnership in 2018.

This latest facility refinances Amarenco’s existing junior debt facilities, enabling the Company to optimize its capital structure and support the continued growth and operation of its renewable energy portfolio. The transaction represents a significant milestone in Amarenco’s strategic development, reinforcing its commitment to the energy transition while maintaining financial discipline and operational excellence.
